Whitney Point Volleyball Stars Receive State Honors

A standout senior and her coach are now holding the hardware to match their headlines. Billie Leet and Head Coach Nick Vachon of Whitney Point High School have each received plaques from the New York State Volleyball Coaches Association recognizing them as the 2025 Player and Coach of the Year.

Leet wrapped up one of the most decorated careers in school history before graduating with the Class of 2026. She leaves the program as its all-time leader in kills, tallying 1,245 over her varsity career — a mark that puts her among the top ten players ever in New York State. Her résumé also includes top-ten finishes in the state's all-time blocks and aces rankings, along with IAC MVP and 1st Team All-State honors in her final season.

Vachon, meanwhile, guided the Golden Eagles to a Section IV Class B championship in 2025, adding a title to what was already a remarkable year for the program.

With the plaques now arrived, Whitney Point is taking the moment to celebrate two of its own who made a lasting mark on New York State volleyball.
